“The first revolution is when you change your mind about how you look at things, and see there might be another way to look at it that you have not been shown. What you see later on is the results of that, but that revolution,
that change that takes place will not be televised.”
Gil Scott-Heron
We hope you will join us at IFPE’s 32nd Annual Interdisciplinary Conference: Disruptions and Transformations. After a two-year hiatus, we are thrilled to be able to meet the old-fashioned way - at an in-person conference in Evanston, IL.
This year’s conference theme, captured so poignantly in the painting on our brochure by April Gornik, was inspired by the powerful disruptions that have been occurring around the world these past few years. But COVID, Black Lives Matter, changing political landscapes, economic crises and international hostilities, have brought with them the seeds of transformation – both disturbing and hopeful.
For over three decades, IFPE conferences have always emphasized the personal dimension of our themes. Continuing with this tradition, our 2022 conference will feature presentations that address important “big picture” issues, but which speak from - and to - the heart.
